A community of servants, each one unique in their own skillset and gifts, together united by the mission to serve the King of Kings with our lives. We aim to revive cities by living with the love of Christ. In everything we do, we live to make cities glad.
Our Missionary Training programs are for those who have decided to serve the Lord ALWAYS. We’ve made ourselves available and we’re learning to RUN our races together, to the glory of God.
WHO WE ARE & HOW WE GOT HERE
Late in 2016, Darrin & Jennie Riddle relocated their family and community to the beautiful La Porte, Indiana to establish a long-awaited dream-come-true ministry headquarters for People & Songs and The Emerging Sound. God gave Darrin and Jennie Lee a dream for a residential ministry hub back in 1988; A place where Kingdom workers could find training, rest, and connection with other creative, like-minded servants. The miraculous stewardship of the iconic and historic Ruth C. Sabin Home is the culmination of almost 3 decades of waiting, praying, working, trusting and growing in the Lord.
WHAT WE DO AT HEADQUARTERS
Our Missionary Training programs are for persons desiring to become mature, cross-trained and well-rounded humans, rich with portable skills; missionaries able to adapt to any circumstance and quickly rise in service to Christ. As a community we learn and practice the joyful obedience and disciplines needed to serve the Kingdom. Together we help the local church to reach out and serve the community at large through concerts, nights of worship, retreats and conferences. The Emerging Sound missionaries receive a well-rounded and diverse experience, regularly working in close cooperation with local pastors from area churches to design and facilitate services. Missionaries will gain experience in prayer, hospitality, songwriting, publishing, live and studio recordings, worship leading, photo and video production, marketing, commerce, social networking/media, evangelism, and outreach opportunities throughout the year. Current needs:
We're looking for graphic/web designers, worship leaders, photographers, videographers, social media gurus, cooks... It takes many hands and talents to run a ministry.
